Studio Guidelines 2007 - 2008 Season

Thank you for choosing Praise Him with Dance as your dance studio. It is important that you and your dancer read and understand the guidelines for this studio. Please cheerfully support these rules. They were created to bring security, peace, and consistency for you and us.

1. Dancers should be on time to class, follow dress code guidelines and be respectful toward instructors, parents and other students. In the instance that a dancer is repeatedly late, improperly dressed or disrespectful, he/she may be asked to leave class. That dancer will need to arrange for a ride home and no other classes may be attended that day.

2. For the safety of the dancers (ALL ages), cover-ups are to be worn to and from the studio (especially to the convenience store). Cover-up items include: a loose fitting dress, a t-shirt & pants/shorts, or a jogging suit.  Shorts worn over leotards& tights are not considered an appropriate cover-up.  Also, please do not wear dance shoes outside, especially in the parking lot. The oil and dirt from the parking lot can ruin our expensive dance floors.

3. Dancers must be dropped off and picked up in a timely manner. Additional fees will be assessed if children are consistently left unsupervised. Praise Him with Dance does not assume any liability for the safety and well-being of our patrons. Young students are dismissed by name at the dance room door and are not allowed to go find their parents in the parking lot. Please be in the lobby when your dancer's class ends so he/she may be given directly to you. Siblings of dancers are never to be left unattended. No rowdy playing is allowed. No children are allowed in the studios unless they are taking a class.

4. In the parking lot, please drive slowly and watch out for small children.

5. Food and drinks and water are NOT allowed in the studios.   (Water only, if class is 2 hrs. or longer.)

6. Please do not try and "catch the teacher for a quick second" between classes. Our focus is to provide dancers with the best instruction and teachers cannot be distracted during teaching hours. To contact a teacher, simply write a note and put it in the teacher's mailbox (located in the lobby). You can also leave a message with the receptionist.

7. Please do not leave valuables in the dressing rooms. Valuables should either be taken into the studios with the dancer or placed in a locker (bring own lock). We are not responsible for anything lost or stolen. Items left in the studios are placed in the lost and found box, located in the dressing room. Items in lockers should be removed & taken home on a daily basis.

8. Our primary source of communication is email.   Please check your email at least once per week.   Be sure to notify us of any changes in your email address.

9. The studio calendar is located on our website, www.phwd.org. The calendar will inform you of studio closings and upcoming events.   Please use the website for news and updates through the year.
